Our University

EMU is a full member of the International Association of Universities, the European Association of Universities, the Mediterranean Universities Community and the Federation of Universities of Islamic Countries. Attaching great importance to international accreditations, EMU has prestigious accreditations from international scientific institutions. Our university's Faculty of Engineering has accreditation from ABET, which audits Technology and Engineering Programs in the United States. This accreditation is the most prestigious accreditation in the world in the field of engineering, and only five universities in Turkey, including EMU, have this accreditation.

EMU achieved the 44th place in the world in the field of "Hospitality and Tourism Management" in the 2023 World University Academic Rankings, and achieved the first place in the Republic of Turkey and Cyprus in general. EMU, which achieved the 44th place in the world in the field of Hospitality and Tourism Management, is the only university from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) to enter the list.

In addition, the Department of Architecture of the Faculty of Architecture has NAAB accreditation. EMU Department of Architecture has become the 8th program in the world to have this accreditation. The Faculty of Business and Economics, School of Business and Finance, Faculty of Tourism, School of Tourism and Hotel Management, and the Department of Accounting and Tax Applications and Medical Documentation and Secretarial Studies of the School of Computer and Technology have FIBAA accreditation, the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, the Molecular Biology and Genetics program has AHPGS accreditation, and the Psychology program is a member of TPD (Turkish Psychologists Association). The Department of English Language Education and Preschool Education of the Faculty of Education, and the Department of Interior Architecture of the Faculty of Architecture have AQAS accreditation. In addition, the Faculty of Tourism has TEDQUAL and City&- Guilds accreditation, while the School of Computer and Technology programs have ASIIN accreditation. The Foreign Languages and English Preparatory School has Pearson Assured accreditation. In addition, the Faculty of Business and Economics is a member of AACSB, which is a member of only three universities in Turkey. In addition, our Faculty of Health Sciences is the first faculty from TRNC to be a COHEHRE member. In addition, the Department of Pharmacy is a member of FIP and is the first department from TRNC and the second from the Republic of Turkey to have this membership.
