Transportation to Famagusta

Flights to Northern Cyprus are made with a short stopover in Turkey. All flights to Northern Cyprus land at Ercan Airport. Ercan Airport is the closest airport.

Ercan Airport

Transportation between Ercan Airport and Famagusta takes 40-60 minutes by car or bus, and can be provided by different means.

Another option is to fly directly to Larnaca Airport in Southern (Greek) Cyprus (non-Schengen EU member state). This option is only available to US, Canadian and European Union passport holders.

VISA REQUIREMENTS
Foreign passengers traveling directly to Northern Cyprus do not require a visa, except for citizens of Nigeria, Armenia and Syria. Participants wishing to enter Turkey must obtain an electronic visa before arrival.

It has been learned that the “OK to Board” application, which was initiated during the Covid period for the citizens of the third countries listed below, who will go to our country via Turkey, has been terminated and as before, third country citizens who are ordinary passport holders subject to exemption according to the visa regime of the Republic of Turkey, will be subject to a double transit visa application with the phrase “Valid for round trip to TRNC” for their transit passages to our country via Turkish Republic airports, even if they do not leave the airport transit halls.
